While the option to work from home was rare in job advertisements before the coronavirus crisis, the shock of the pandemic led to a boom. This is shown by an analysis of the prevalence of working from home based on more than 35 million job advertisements from 2014 to 2021. At the same time, regional, occupational and sectoral inequalities in access to working from home have decreased during the pandemic. In addition, digital skills as well as teamwork and adaptability are increasingly in demand.
