Digitalisation and Innovation and their Importance to Growth and Competitiveness
The 69th Annual Meeting of the ifo Institute toke place on Thursday, 28 June 2018, in the Great Hall (Große Aula) of the University of Munich (LMU). The ifo Annual Meeting consisted of a closed session (General Meeting, Meeting of the Board of Trustees) and a public session with an analysis of the economy by the president of the ifo Institute and guest speakers from business and politics.
The public part of the event, which was jointly organised by the ifo Institute and the Center for Economic Studies (CES) of the LMU, was dedicated to the topic of digitisation and innovation and its importance for growth and competitiveness. Gisbert Rühl, CEO of Klöckner & Co SE, was the keynote speaker. The topic will was analysed more closely in a panel discussion with representatives from industry and academia.
