Student Assistant (f/m/d) for the Ludwig Erhard ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics situated in Fürth

The ifo Institute is looking for a Student Assistant (f/m/d) with immediate effect to support the ifo Center in its research activities with a focus on Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics.

The work as a student assistant is intended to give a taste of the research work at the Ifo Institute as it is carried out by research assistants (doctoral students and postdocs). Therefore, the job is suitable for people who are currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in an economic science program. As a student assistant you will work for an ifo research team and support them in their tasks. We look forward to receiving your applications!

Your Duties

  • Literature and data research
  • Creation and preparation of data sets
  • Econometric data analysis, with a focus on micro-econometrics
  • Editing tables and scientific texts
  • Preparation of graphics and presentations

 

Your Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a master's program in an economics or social science discipline or advanced bachelor's program
  • Interest in the issues of the ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics
  • Independent working style
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics and software
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Good knowledge of a programming language (Stata, R, Python, etc.)
  • Interest in longer-term engagement n a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a focus on economics, social sciences or political science

  • Flexible working hours  (depending on remuneration max. 40 hours per month)
  • Remuneration between 13.25 euros and 14.25 euros per hour, depending on study progress
