For the past few years regulators have been working on changes in the German Game Ordinance. This process lasted until the end of 2005 with the last changes having been made in October. The prohibition of fun games (amusement machines which replay tokens and offer memory options) cannot be compensated with other games by the companies because these are lacking. A new generation of such machines can only partially compensate for the losses. With a model computation it is shown that enterprises in this industry will incur losses and dismiss workers.
