Sylvie Goulard, Vice-President of Banque de France, opened the Munich Economic Debates lecture series on Wednesday, 4 March 2020 with a presentation entitled “Green Finance – What can European central banks and the ECB do to help fight climate change?”. In her talk she explained, among other things, how European central banks supervise climate-related financial risks and what effects climate damage has on factors such as energy costs and food prices.

The presentation was held in German.
