Barrier-free Access

The main building of the ifo Institute (David Bradford House) and the Adolf Weber House are barrier-free accessible. Please register by phone at the reception +49 89 9224-1211 and we will inform you about everything else.

Using Public Transportation

The bus stop ‘Poschingerstrasse’ is adjacent to the ifo Institute (187 bus).

From the Central Railway Station (Hauptbahnhof): 
Subway U4 (direction 'Arabellapark'), change at 'Richard-Strauss-Strasse' to the number 187 bus (direction 'Arabellapark'). 
or number 16 tram (direction 'Effnerplatz'), change at 'Mauerkircherstrasse' to the number 187 bus (direction 'Arabellapark').
or number 58 cityring bus (direction 'Hauptbahnhof'), change at 'Mauerkircherstrasse' to the number 187 bus (direction 'Arabellapark').

From the Eastern Railway Station (Ostbahnhof): 
Number 54 bus (direction 'Scheidplatz') or number 58 cityring bus, change at 'Mauerkircherstrasse' to the number 187 bus (direction 'Arabellapark').

From Munich Airport 
Take the S-Bahn S8, change at 'Daglfing' to the number 188 bus (direction 'Unterföhring'), change at 'Herkomerplatz' to the number 187 bus (direction 'Arabellapark').

To the Center for Economic Studies (CES): 
Number 187 bus (direction 'Michaelibad'), change at 'Mauerkircherstraße' to the number 154 bus (direction 'Nordbad') or number 68 cityring bus (direction 'Hauptbahnhof') to 'Georgenstraße'.

Arriving by Car

ifo Institute is located in the eastern part of Munich, near the ring road (Mittlerer Ring) in the low emission zone. Information: http://www.muenchen.de/umweltzone

By Air: 

From Dresden-Klotzsche Airport with the number 2 S-Bahn to the last stop, Dresden Hauptbahnhof (Central Railway Station). Continue with local public transportation (see below).

By Rail: 

Exit the train at Dresden Hauptbahnhof (Central Railway Station) and continue with local public transportation (see below).

By Car: 

Leave the Autobahn (A 4) at the exit (“Ausfahrt”) “Dresden Altstadt” and follow the signs for the “Zentrum” or “Hauptbahnhof”. After crossing the tracks of the Central Railway Station heading south, you come to Fritz-Löffler-Strasse. At the first traffic light, turn left into Reichenbach-Strasse. At the second junction, bear right into An-dreas-Schubert-Strasse and drive up the hill towards Lukas Church. Driving around the church on the right-hand side, you reach Einsteinstrasse. The Institute is on your left, number 3.

Local Transportation: 

Take the number 3 tram (direction Coschütz) or tram number 8 from the Central Rail-way Station one stop south to Reichenbach-Strasse. Get off the tram, walk towards the traffic light and turn left into Reichenbach-Strasse. At the second junction, bear right into Andreas-Schubert-Strasse and walk up the hill towards Lukas Church. Walking around the church on the right-hand side, you reach Einsteinstrasse and the Institute (ca. ten-minute walk).

By Air

From Nuremberg Airport take the U2 in the direction of Nürnberg / Röthenbach to the Nürnberg / Plärrer station. Now cross the platform and take the U1 line in the direction of Fürth/Hardhöhe to Fürth Rathaus.
