The events of the ifo Institute, the CESifo Network, and EconPol are part of the core business. Especially in Munich but also at other locations, we bring together internal and external speakers to exchange views on current scientific or economic policy topics.
For young researchers, academic events offer a good opportunity to present their work and to discuss it with renowned colleagues from around the world. The range includes smaller scientific workshops, area conferences, and overarching academic conferences in cooperation with other institutions.
For decision-makers from politics and business as well as for those interested in economic issues, CESifo and the ifo Institute organize a lecture series on political topics: the Munich Economic Debates.
The ifo Institute also invites members and other interested parties once a year to the ifo Annual Meeting in Munich, and to the Annual Conference of EconPol in Brussels. In addition, there are irregular webinars on specific topics that are currently high on the public debate agenda.
