Randstad ifo Personnel Manager Survey

Client: Randstad Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG
Project period: ongoing since May 2007, quarterly survey
Research Areas:
Project team: Valentina Rot, Daria Schaller, Dr. Klaus Wohlrabe

Tasks

The ifo Institute surveys around 1,000 decision-makers in German HR departments every quarter on behalf of Randstad Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The focus lies on the analysis of flexibilization instruments such as temporary employment. Therefore, the question is asked what role such mechanisms play in different areas of the German economy in the medium and long term. In addition, changing current topics are examined, like the training situation or the shortage of skilled workers.

Methods

In order to obtain a sample that is as representative as possible for the German economy, companies from the manufacturing, wholesale retail trade and service sectors throughout Germany take part in the survey. Care is also taken to ensure that both small, medium-sized and large-scale enterprises are represented in the panel. A total of around 1,000 companies are surveyed.
