Innovation in Germany – within a Strong Europe
Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Max-Joseph-Straße 2, 80333 München
The innovative capacity of the german economy is regularly rated positively in international rankings. However, innovation activity increasingly concentrates in large companies and a small number of industries; our innovative medium-sized businesses are threatening to fall behind, and competitors from Asia or the United States (too) often have the edge when it comes to implementing truly ground-breaking innovations. Minister of Economics Peter Altmaier knows that the strengths of the German and European innovation system need to be expanded and explained this in his lecture.
Following Mr. Altmaier’s presentation there was a panel discussion of the topic “Europe of innovations – which role can Germany take?” to further deepen the points with:
- Prof. Fuest, President of the Ifo Institute,
- Dr. Eberhard Sasse, President of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce,
- Ms. Dagmar Schuller, CEO and co-founder audEERING and
- Ms. Irene Wagner, Managing Partner psm protech.
