Student Assistant (f/m/d) for the ifo Center for Macroeconomics and Surveys
The ifo Institute is looking for a Student Assistant with immediate effect to support the ifo Center in its research work in the field of microsimulation.
The ifo Institute is one of the leading economic research institutes in Europe and is internationally re-nowned for its research, policy advice and service activities. It conducts top international research in the field of economics with intensive support for young economists.
Your tasks
- Participation in policy consulting projects on tax and social policy issues
- Collaboration in the development of quantitative econometric models
- Collaboration on the ifo microsimulation model
- Cooperation in the development of free software
Your qualifications
- Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in a business or engineering discipline or computer science
- Good basic programming skills
- Experience in programming with Stata and/or Python is an advantage
- Technical affinity and willingness to learn new topics and software
- Confident handling of git and LaTeX are an advantage
- Econometric knowledge and basic ML skills are an advantage
- Interest in longer-term study-related activities
- Independent working style and interest in economic and socio-political issues

- Flexible working hours (up to 20 hours per week)
- Remuneration depending on study progress between 12.41 euros and 14.00 euros per hour
