Working and operating hours in EU manufacturing - results of an ad hoc EU survey

The results of an ad hoc survey that the European Union conducts every five years in manufacturing shows a similarity in employee structures in European countries: In the medium term a decline in the number of jobs in European manufacturing is expected. The reasons are increased price pressure and the high cost of labour. Also the desire for more flexible labour markets can be observed in all EU countries.
