Ifo Personnel Manager Survey: Short-time working schemes help prevent dismissals

In the first quarter of 2010 the Ifo Institute surveyed personnel managers in some 1500 firms on their plans with regard to short-time work for the current year. The survey results show that in a majority of firms that are currently using short-time work, these employees will be retained also in future.
