The Ifo indicator for World Economic Climate has risen further and is only slightly below its long-term average. The improvement was mainly due to the positive expectations for the next six months. The current situation is a little more favourable than in the survey of the previous quarter. The results confirm the recovery trend in the global economy. For 2012, an inflation rate of 3.6% is expected. Compared to the inflation estimates of the January survey, there has been no change. In no region of the world is the current price trend seen as the main economic problem. According to the survey participants, the euro and is slightly and the yen somewhat more strongly overvalued. On a global average, the surveyed economists expect a rising dollar exchange rate over the next six months.
