Ifo Personnel Manager Survey – Results of Selected Special Surveys

On behalf of Randstad Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, the Ifo Institute surveys personnel managers from different economic sectors on a quarterly basis about the importance of various flexibility instruments like temporary work, overtime or freelance staff in their deployment of staff. Moreover, a special survey looks at a topical personnel policy issues. In the fourth quarter of 2012 the reaction of companies to further economic weakening was the main issue of the survey, while in the first quarter of 2013 the question concerned whether demand for persons seeking employment from the GIPS countries had changed in the course of the previous year. The special question in the second quarter of 2013 focused on the part-time work offering of companies. This article presents the results of these surveys.
