Investment Climate Improves – Leasing Is Developing Despite Above-Average Decline

The investment indicator based on assessments of the current business situation of leasing companies, jointly conducted by the Ifo Institute and the Federation of German Leasing Companies, signals a 0.7% decline in equipment investment including other assets. After the minus in the first half year of 2013, increases are forecast for the third and fourth quarters. The values for the first three quarters of 2014 indicate a strong dynamic, translating into growth of around 8%.
