The global impact of the Ukrainian crisis: results of the latest Ifo World Economic Survey

A special question posed in the latest Ifo World Economic Survey on the economic impact of the Russian–Ukrainian conflict showed a mixed picture. Significant economic consequences are expected especially in the regional surroundings of the conflict, i.e. in Eastern Europe and the CIS area. But the effects will not be entirely confined to this region. Also the European economies could suffer from declining exports to the region as well as by a lower supply security in terms of Russian energy resources.
