ifo Branchen-Dialog 2014 (Ifo Industry Colloquium)

This year’s Ifo Industry Colloquium took place on 5 November 2014. After a welcome speech by the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Munich and Upper Bavaria, Eberhard Sasse, Hans-Werner Sinn, President of the Ifo Institute, gave a speech entitled: “The economic situation in Germany and Europe” and Timo Wollmershäuser, also from the Ifo Institute, gave a speech entitled: “A mid-term forecast for Germany”. These speeches were followed by the four branch-specific forums. To conclude the event, Gabriel Felbermayr, Ifo Institute, looked at the issue of “Transatlantic free trade – an opportunity or a threat?” This article summarises the event.
