Innovation in the “Ifo World Economic Survey” Global Experts Poll – Question on Mid-Term Inflation Expectations

As of the fourth quarter of 2014, the “Ifo World Economic Survey” (WES) features a question on the inflation rate expected over the next three to four years. The results of this question have been published for individual countries, as well as for key economic areas (like, for instance, the euro area) in an aggregated form. This contribution offers a first evaluation of the survey results to date.
