Economic Activity in 2016: Forecast and Reality

The Ifo Institute has been critically assessing the quality of its own economic forecasts for years. This article discusses the forecast made in December 2015 for 2016 in view of the recently published results of the national accounts for 2016. It also looks at the institute’s long-term average forecasting quality.
