Measurement of Corporate Uncertainty in Germany – the ifo Dispersion Measure

This article presents the measures that are used to measure uncertainty among German companies in the entire economy, and within various sectors of the economy. The measures are calculated based on company responses to the ifo business surveys and will be published on a monthly basis together with the results of the ifo business surveys as of August. This service will broaden the spectrum of regularly available uncertainty measures in Germany.
