A year after Donald Trump's election as President of the United States of America, the quarterly ifo World Economic Survey polled economics experts worldwide and the November issue of the Economists Panel released by ifo and FAZ surveyed professors of economics at German universities on the work completed by the new US government. There is very little difference between the average assessments of both panel surveys. Overall, the majority of experts from both groups see no positive stimuli under Trump. The experts surveyed assessed the impact of Trump's policy as particularly negative in economics, the environment, healthcare, social justice, peace and security, as well as international cooperation. Many survey participants even assessed the US President's achievements as poorer than they had previously expected.
