The ifo World Economic Climate Worsens – Results of the 140th World Economic Survey (WES) for the Second Quarter of 2018

The ifo World Economic Climate has deteriorated. The indicator fell in the second quarter, returning to roughly the level of the fourth quarter of 2017. The assessments of the current economic situation remain favourable, but expectations are much less optimistic than in the previous quarter. The upturn in the global economy still holds, but it has weakened. Overall, the WES experts expect global GDP to increase by 3.9% this year.
