The ifo Capacity Utilization Indicator fell to 88.3% in January 2019. Approx. 7,000 reports from companies—submitted as part of the ifo Business Survey—were evaluated to obtain this result. After an economic boom, the German economy is cooling down and is poised for a downswing.
