Construction Activity in Europe Loses Considerable Momentum

Construction demand in Europe developed extremely positively in recent years. Between 2014 and 2019, construction output in the 19 countries of the EUROCONSTRUCT network grew by a total of 15 percent, with new construction measures accounting for a considerable share of this growth. In the medium term, however, it is unlikely to expand any further, as the environment is less favorable overall and construction activity, which has been very lively in many countries for some time now, is returning to normal.
