Economic Business Cycle 2019: Forecast and Reality

This article discusses the ifo forecast of December 2018 for the year 2019 against the backdrop of the official results of the national accounts published on January 15, 2020. It turns out that the ifo Institute’s winter forecast 2018 was too optimistic concerning the annual average rate of change in real GDP.
