Employment cuts in the Free State of Saxony during the corona crisis: Conurbations are most affected

With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, the expected spring employment boost in the Free State of Saxony failed to materialize. On the contrary, considerably more employees became unemployed during the corona crisis. Moreover, noticeably fewer unemployed people have taken up employment. This affects all Saxon districts and independent cities, especially in urban conurbations.
