Epidemics and Office-Holders

Approval of government parties and office-holders has increased dramatically since March 2020. This is shown by citizen surveys at the federal and the state level. The Union has benefited particularly well from the crisis in terms of voter favor. Citizens seem to be placing more trust in politicians who are established in office, rewarding them for effective crisis management and not expecting them to change government offices in times of crisis.
