Language Skills and Labor Market Participation of Refugees in Germany

Since the so-called refugee crisis, the integration of refugees has been part of the political and public debate. An important question is how to promote their quick and sustainable entry into the labour market. Language skills are an important integration factor. In this article, I show that for refugees in Germany the probability of participating in the labour market increases with better German language skills.
