The fixed-term employment policy for new hires in 2020 was hardly changed compared to 2019. However, there are considerable differences within the economic sectors. The rate of fixed-term contracts is highest on average in manufacturing at around 47 percent, followed by trade at 37 percent and the service sector at 26 percent. Around 14 percent of manufacturers and service providers made no new hires at all in 2020, while in trade the figure was 8 percent, according to the survey results.
