The Impact of Russia Sanctions on Companies

Trade relations between the EU and Russia are greatly restricted by mutually imposed sanctions. An analysis of international trade data shows that Russia is dependent on the EU as a supplier and as a customer, while it plays a subordinate role as a trading partner for the EU. Within Germany, eastern German companies are more likely to be affected by the sanctions, as are companies in the manufacturing sector.
