Macroeconomic Recovery Generates Unexpected Additional Tax Revenue: On the Results of the 161st Tax Estimate of November 2021

Tax revenue for the current year has developed much more positively than expected in the last estimate. The labor market recovery and increased consumption are likely to have led to the significant increase in revenue. Despite the uncertain course of the pandemic, the working group also expects higher revenue in the coming years than it did in the spring.
