On the Results of the May 2021 Tax Estimate: Prolonged Coronavirus Crisis and Fiscal Relief Postpone Tax Revenue Recovery

The tax estimate in May 2021 resulted in a downward revision of the tax revenue forecast. This is primarily due to the additional legal changes. At the same time, however, revenue in 2020 was EUR 11.4 billion higher than estimated in November 2020. Higher tax revenue is again expected for 2023 and 2024.
