Structural Change in Rural Areas

The economic structural change is leading to profound upheavals. Due to different economic and socio-demographic characteristics, individual regions in Germany are affected by structural change with varying intensity. Rural areas in particular face major challenges. This report deals comprehensively with the opportunities and risks of structural change at the regional level and shows ways in which the potential of structural change can be optimally used while at the same time reducing the risks.
