Communications

The Communications Department is responsible for relations with the ifo Institute’s stakeholders. We see ourselves as mediators between the institute, interested journalists, members, companies, public authorities, and students. Our employees create the content for the ifo website, manage our social media channels, maintain contact with our multipliers, produce the Institute’s publications, and organize events.

The website is the center of our communications activities. It is where our users can find information about the institute, its activities, and contact persons. We prepare specific content for each target group and for different channels – in multimedia formats such as text, graphics, or videos. Important events are also live-streamed on the website and in our social media channels.

The Communications Department answers questions about the ifo Institute’s research results. We arrange access to experts and interview partners and send press releases to national and international journalists. We also organize specialist conferences, events with high-level participants, academic seminars, and press conferences.

The Communications Department is also responsible for all of the company’s publications. We edit articles, handle printing preparations and typesetting, and forward material to the in-house or external printers. Statisticians, graphic designers, typesetters, and printers implement the work of the editors. They also collaborate on projects that fall under the responsibility of other ifo departments.
