Commission for the Comprehensive Evaluation of Public Services and Public Staff in Saxony
Tasks
The Free State of Saxony has installed a commission for the evaluation of public services and public staff. The tasks of this commission are twofold: On the one hand, the number of employees in public administration in Saxony is still higher than in many other German federal states, resulting in the need of a well-arranged downsizing of public staff. On the other hand, about half of the current personnel will leave service due to retirement until 2030, which leads to the necessity of the recruitment of qualified employees. However, due to demographic change, the supply of labor will decrease quantitatively and qualitatively.
