The ifo Institute conducts the Economic Experts Survey (EES) in cooperation with the Institute for Swiss Economic Policy. The EES is a quarterly survey of economic experts worldwide. It captures their assessments of the current economic policy and political performance in their countries. The EES also provides assessments of national pandemic management and related fiscal policies during the Covid-19 pandemic. Globally relevant policy problems are surveyed irregularly through additional questions. The EES started with the first survey cycle in Q1 2022.
Methods
The ifo Institute surveys international economic experts on a quarterly basis via an online survey using the Qualtrics survey software. The results are made available to the public in aggregated form.

The Economic Experts Survey (EES) is a quarterly survey of economic experts worldwide. The EES captures their assessment of the current economic policy and political performance as well as of special questions in their countries. The survey is jointly conducted by the ifo Institute and the Institute for Swiss Economic Policy.
