The Development of Entrepreneurship

The assessment of several educational policy programs to promote entrepreneurship in schools shows that programs to date have only achieved very limited success. School education nevertheless plays an important role overall in the number of potential future entrepreneurs. Countries with greater competition at school generate more students with entrepreneurial aims, since competition between schools obviously helps to make students “entrepreneurial”. This is reflected in the course offerings and the teaching methods applied at such schools.
