ifo Economic Forecast for Autumn 2018: Capacity Overutilisation Continues in Climate of Growing Global Economic Risk

After a short breather at the beginning of the year the German economy has regained impetus. An increase of 1.9% in real gross domestic product is expected in both 2018 and 2019 respectively, before the economy gradually weakens in 2020.
