Coronavirus Pandemic: Effects on Statutory Pension Insurance

The coronavirus pandemic will place a greater burden on contributors, while the level of security for pensioners will rise. In addition, higher federal funding for statutory pension insurance is expected from 2021 onwards. These are the results of recent calculations by Axel Börsch-Supan and Johannes Rausch of the Munich Center for the Economics of Aging (MEA) at the Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy.
