Ludger Schuknecht and Andreas Schleicher, of the OECD, are taking stock of the digital infrastructure of OECD countries, the provision of computers to schools, and educators’ technical and pedagogical skills for successfully teaching digital literacy. The results show that many industrialized countries still have a lot of catching up to do in terms of infrastructure, teacher skills, and the learning environment.
