Sectoral adjustment in the Polish labour market 1992 - 1995 : a microeconometric analysis with special reference to agricultural employment

The starting point of this study was the large size of agricultural employment in Poland. A central aim has been to find out why it has not significantly declined as a result of structural adjustment since the beginning of transition. In the context of policy debates, the question is whether the size of agricultural employment is an indicator of an inefficient labour market, and whether efforts should be made to reduce agricultural employment.
