The Ludwig Erhard ifo Center for Social Market Economy and Institutional Economics is pleased to announce its 2nd Annual Conference on Institutional Economics, dealing with the topic of “Navigating Economic Realities: The Role of Knowledge and Narratives”.

We warmly welcome submissions of empirical and theoretical papers in the areas of Institutional Economics, Public Economics, and Political Economy, in particular those taking a Behavioral Economics perspective. This year, a special focus is given to papers using experiments (lab, field, or survey) or big data methods (e.g., text analysis) exploring the determinants and consequences of economics and financial literacy, the effect of information about economic mechanisms on preferences and behavior, and the origins of narratives about the economy as well as their effects on decision-making. We also particularly welcome submissions focusing on aspects of social inequalities within these domains.
