To ensure that our researchers can focus fully on their work, our Management and Service teams handle a wide range of tasks that keep the institute running smoothly. From media relations and recruiting to event organization, finance, and hands-on IT support, you can experience exciting and often unexpected challenges in these areas.

We are your first point of contact for recruiting, make sure you receive your monthly paycheck, organize conferences and events, provide a reliable IT infrastructure, maintain survey tools, record podcasts, and produce videos – there’s never a dull moment with us.

We are the go-to team for our researchers across many areas – from administration and communications to technical implementation. But our mission goes beyond internal support: we actively help attract top researchers to ifo and ensure that the insights from ifo’s research not only reach academic audiences, but also policymakers, businesses, and the wider public. Because excellent research deserves visibility – and we create the framework that makes it possible.

In unseren eigenen Management- und Service-Bereichen sind wir dein erster Ansprechpartner im Recruiting, sorgen dafür, dass Du monatlich dein Gehalt bekommst, organisieren Konferenzen und Veranstaltungen, stellen eine funktionierende IT-Landschaft zur Verfügung, halten IT-Umfragetools am Laufen, nehmen Podcasts auf und produzieren Videos – bei uns wird es nie langweilig.

Wir sind die erste Anlaufstelle für unsere Forscher*innen in den verschiedensten Bereichen. Doch unser Auftrag geht über die interne Unterstützung hinaus: Wir tragen aktiv dazu bei, dass die besten Wissenschaftler*innen zu uns kommen und dass die Erkenntnisse der ifo-Forschung nicht nur Fachkreise, sondern auch Politik, Wirtschaft und die breite Öffentlichkeit erreichen. Denn exzellente Wissenschaft verdient Sichtbarkeit – und wir schaffen die Rahmenbedingungen dafür.
 

Career Opportunities for Non-Scientists

The ifo Institute offers jobs in the fields of finance, human resources, communication or information technology. We employ assistants and offer training in office management. Assistants work in the infrastructure and research departments. Subject officers are the interface to research and support scientists in their work.
